The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) is the executive agency of MOD that ensures innovative science and technology contribute to the defence and security of the UK. Dstl's customers are the UK MOD and wider government, and 60% of its S&T programme (total funding@ £410 million) is supplied by external partners, such as industry.

ADS, working with a number of other Trade Associations, is supporting a new Dstl initiative called "SME Searchlight" to enable innovative SMEs to enter the Dstl supply chain, and wider innovation opportunities through the exploitation of science and technology. The initiative has a number of themed events planned that aim to engage with industry with Dstl priorities and programmes.

This first event sponsored by Lockheed Martin, will focus on the challenges around RF, Software Defined Radio and 5G networks. This is a free to attend event, for further information and to register click here.

Please note that places will be limited. Companies may be asked to ensure only one person per company attends, and those companies who are already routinely involved with Dstl business may be asked to stand down, to enable attendance of those who have little or no engagement with Dstl to date.
