After careful consideration and consistent with guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), BCI Aerospace and the Boeing Company have decided to postpone the April 2020 Aerospace & Defense Supplier Summit in Seattle. BCI are looking at potential dates in early September 2020 to reschedule the event and will be advising on further developments within the next two weeks. This decision is a temporary precautionary measure aimed to prevent the spread of the virus, shorten its impact and ensure the health and safety of customers as well as the general publicue to ongoing concerns and evolving public health risks related to COVID-19.
A&DSS Seattle is a supply chain event that brings together aerospace and defense primes, tier suppliers and contract-manufacturers. Engineering, procurement, supply chain, fabrication, commodity teams, suppliers and service providers will meet through pre-arranged one-to-one meetings which will be held at the venue. The programme offers all participants the opportunity to sign up, identify and request meetings with relevant contacts prior to the show.
Benefits of exhibiting within the UK Pavilion
Assistance from a dedicated ADS Event Manager:
ADS will assist participating companies by liaising with the organisers on behalf of its exhibitors, by providing regular updates on the event and key deadlines, arrangement of a group rate at a suitably located hotel and guiding on arrangements for freight support if required. There will be a representative from ADS on site each day to provide support as well as pre and post show assistance.
Enhanced Event Registration Assistance:
The Department for International Trade (DIT) and ADS have direct experience of A&DSS and are able to offer advice to UK companies to maximise their profile at the event, including securing the right B2B opportunities with Boeing, OEMs and Tier 1s.
How does it work?
Suppliers use the A&DSS portal to indicate the customers that they would like to meet and submit a company profile. Requests and company profiles are then sent to the customer procurement agents, who determine which companies they will actually meet. The quality of the company profile therefore directly relates to the quantity and quality of meeting acceptances.
How will DIT and ADS support?
Once ADS recieves your application to participate, we will provide your contact details to DIT Aerospace Specialists, Chris Gane and Bill Peterson, who will advise you on how to complete your profile prior to submission to help you maximise the acceptances.
Boeing and Tier 1 Dinner:
ADS and DIT will organise an exclusive dinner with multiple members of the Boeing procurement team and representatives from several US tier 1 aerospace manufacturers for companies exhibiting in the UK Pavilion with ADS and Invest NI. Each exhibitor will receive one invitation to attend as part of their stand package and places for additional delegates can be purchased.
