An excellent opportunity for ADS members to gain first-hand insight from the Government authority on protective security.

ADS will welcome the Head of the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI). He will update members on protective security challenges, priorities, and how Government is ensuring the protection of citizens through engagement with partners in Government, police, industry and academia to identify risks to and reduce the vulnerability of the national infrastructure, particularly critical national infrastructure (CNI).

About CPNI

CPNI is accountable to the Director General of MI5 and is the government authority for protective security advice to the UK national infrastructure. Its principal role is to protect national security by helping to reduce the vulnerability of the national infrastructure to terrorism and other threats. CPNI’s remit also covers other nationally important assets or events, including high-profile iconic targets, where impact of damage would be equally serious even though these do not deliver an essential service.
