Defence-Space

ADS is pleased to announce the launch of the Defence Air and Space Group (DASG), a new special interest group for organisations with a particular interest or involvement in the aerospace and space defence environment.

In the last year, ADS has increased its engagement activity in both the Air and Space sectors, delivering new opportunities for our members to hear from Front Line Commands (FLC’s) on areas including Team Tempest, Future Combat Air System (FCAS), the Rapid Capability Office (RCO) and Air Command, Space.

The Defence Air and Space group provides ADS members with an understanding of the end user in the aerospace and space defence environment, specifically the Royal Air Force. Members of the group are able to attend a number of sector focused events and group meetings with seniors from across the Royal Air Force’s portfolio, and external events supported by ADS. Access to specific business opportunities in the aerospace defence and space environment, such as tenders or government announcements, are also sent to group members.

Commenting on the launch of the new special interest group, Simon Levy, Head of UK Business Development at ADS said:

“With more activity planned including supply chain opportunities with Primes and the FLC’s, ADS are delighted to announce the launch of the  Defence Air and Space Group; a new special interest group that will provide members with a focused community of interest to receive the latest business opportunities, targeted events and engagement activities with the FLC’s, and the opportunity to work with colleagues in the PEPAM team to share views on the National Space Strategy and Space Capability Management Strategy.

“We continue to see growing interest from our members in these two domains at a particularly exciting time for industry to support future programmes and the growth in the UK’s military small satellite deployment.”

Membership of the group is open to all ADS Member companies. You can join the group via the online Members Area here, or alternatively please contact Simon Levy by emailing simon.levy@adsgroup.org.uk or calling +44 (0)20 7091 1149.
