A guest blog written by Scott Cattaneo, Head of Defence Commercial, ADS
Ahead of DSEI 2021 in London, the new Head of Defence Commercial, Scott Cattaneo wanted to introduce himself.
I’d like to introduce myself as the (relatively) new Head of Defence Commercial. I joined ADS in April this year, charged with running and developing the commercial programme within the Defence Team.
I come from a SME background, working as Commercial Manager for a Defence and Public Sector facing IT and Cyber Security service provider for almost 15 years in that role, and as a member of the Senior Leadership team, spent a lot of my time working within MOD and DE&S teams working on project delivery and business development activity.
Since joining ADS, I have been engaged on a wide array of subjects which include Single Source Contract Regulations, IP Protection, Social Value and JOSCAR. To develop my understanding of how defence commercial issues impact our members, I’d be delighted if you would get in touch for a discussion, as I am keen to use any of your feedback to help craft events and education programs that would be of most value, and to collaborate with partners in the MOD to drive improvements that would benefit your engagement with the Defence sector.
Furthermore, now that we’re allowed out again, I am keen to meet you in person to really understand your business goals! I cover quite a geography as I am based near York yet have a relatively frequent office presence in London, and it would be great to see you on my travels, at events, or at the office.
I look forward to engaging with you in the very near future and for members attending DSEI next week, I will be present Monday-Friday, if you’d like to get in touch, please email me.
