ADS Spotlight – Introducing Osprey KIDS!

In amongst the current Coronavirus crisis, there have been many additional challenges placed upon our daily lives. One new challenge parents around the UK are having to get used to is home schooling, social distancing and home working. ADS Member Osprey has, like a lot of businesses, noted this is a huge new task for many of their staff and clients in the aviation, aerospace and defence community and as a result has launched Osprey KIDS.

Osprey KIDS is a dedicated website providing aviation-based home learning, activities and resources for parents and children in Pre-School and Primary School (KS1 and KS2). At Osprey KIDS you’ll find fun aviation-related competitions, challenges and activities that will make your time at home fly by.

The website is a fun and safe place for children of all ages to learn more about aviation to help encourage the next generation of aerospace engineers and working in the wider aviation and aerospace sectors.

The focus of the activities are around the STEM subjects – Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Each week the team at Osprey will run activities and a competition for each group.  Children will be encouraged to send in pictures or videos of their creations for judging and for posting on the website gallery. Whilst not exclusively for families within the aviation industry, Osprey KIDS offers some STEM-based fun that everyone can get their teeth into.

You can access all the materials online here for free and take a look at the Osprey KIDS Hall of Fame which will be updated each week with new pictures and videos of the creations people send in for a chance to win an award or a prize.

The impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on business is constantly evolving in the UK and globally. To help keep ADS Members informed and updated with the latest advice, information and resources available, we have created a COVID-19 Hub on the ADS website which will be a central source of information so you can understand how it may affect your business and make informed decisions.
