The Role

The Prosperity and Growth Executive within the ADS Security and Resilience Team plays a key role in helping to maximise both the national security contributions and economic potential of the UK Security and Resilience Sector, both within the UK and internationally.

Working in support of a unique programme of business development and policy activity for over 650-member companies comprising the UK’s security sector, the role plays a central role in helping to facilitate effective public-private security cooperation in a high growth market.

Located in London, this brand-new role is based at the heart of the interface between Government and industry in the security sect and offers excellent developmental opportunities. As well as supporting work flowing directly from the Minister-led Security and Resilience Growth Partnership (SRGP), the postholder will be tasked to serve, under the mentorship of ADS’s lead on National Security Capabilities, as the key link between ADS and the Home Office’s Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC).

Serving on secondment in this unique joint Government-industry unit based in the Office for Security and Counter-Terrorism (OSCT), the postholder will be deeply involved in helping to deliver the Home Office’s annual Security & Policing event and the Department’s wider prosperity objectives.

The role directly reports to the ADS Security and Resilience Director. For the postholder’s responsibilities as a secondee to the Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC), the postholder will receive mentorship from ADS’s Head of National Security Capabilities.

Suitable for someone interested in or looking to develop a career in the field of public-private security cooperation, the successful candidate will have an awareness of the key challenges and issues facing the UK security sector today; possess strong analytical and communication skills; and be able to clearly demonstrate an ability to provide high quality executive support in a fast-moving and diverse security policy environment.

We seek a candidate who revels in working as part of a small, highly collaborative team on complex issues, as well as possessing strong diplomacy and analytical skills to help navigate the complexity of the sector.
