The ADS Director of Policy plays a key role in representing and supporting the UK’s aerospace, defence, space and security industries. Managing a high-profile team of policy, economic, media and government affairs advisers this role helps to establish our industries policy priorities and ensures they are supported by a strong evidential base.
The Director of Policy leads our engagement with political and governmental stakeholders, in the UK and internationally. They help to build understanding of the economic, industrial and social impact of our industries across the UK. Helping to ensure the UK remains an internationally competitive business environment.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of manufacturing and understanding of the four key sectors combined with experience in commenting in public forums and in the media on economic, regulatory and political issues.
Experience in designing and leading lobbying campaigns on a range of regulatory and policy issues is also essential.
You will have strong analytical skills, with experience of economic forecasting or conducting sector-based research. We seek a candidate with people management experience coupled with strong and established diplomacy skills.
