ADS Toulouse Working Breakfasts and Working Lunches with key personalities and one social event:
Airbus Flight Test Visit on 25th January 2012On Wednesday, 25th January in the morning ADS Toulouse had organised a visit at
where members were met by senior personnel from this department including the Chief Test Pilot Civil and members of his team. The visit commenced with a presentation by Hélène Cerbeleaud, EV Head of Strategy, Flight and Integration Tests which outlined the involvement of Tier one suppliers from the initial development phase of a new aircraft programme. This is a new way of working and will apply to the A350 project. This was followed by a visit to the Iron Bird of the A380 & A400M coupled with a demonstration of the cockpit interface to each rig. The next stage of the visit was to see the Telemetry centre which enables test aircraft to be monitored and tracked in real time. The morning concluded with a visit to the A380 MSN 1 a/c which has been fitted with a Trent XWB (A350) engine, making its maiden flight within 14 days. The Toulouse Bureau would like to express its thanks to Harry Nelson for organising such a wonderful visit. |

Working Lunch with Airbus - 24th January 2012The ADS Toulouse Bureau was priviledged to host
to a Working Lunch. This is part of the Bureau strategy to invite key players from Major manufacturers in the Aerospace family and once again the guests did not disappoint. |

ADS Toulouse Annual Event on 29th September 2011This year's ADS Toulouse annual event was held at the magnificient Orangerie. In addition to being blessed with wonderful weather we were honoured to receive Mark Prisk MP Minister of State for Business and Innovation as our major guest of honour. He was accompanied by senior members of BIS and UKTI. The Airbus guest of honour was Tom Williams, EVP Programmes Airbus. In addition senior executives from major British and French companies were present. The theme of the evening was the environment which is particularly close to Airbus as they are constantly investigating ways of reducing pollution and saving fuel. Tom Williams made a special mention of the NEO A/C and its huge success since its launch.

Thales Alenia Space visiton the 29th September 2011 from 08.30 to 14.00 hours A visit to Thales Alenia Space was organized to coincide with the Annual Event and involved UK Space company members in addition to some of our Toulouse members. This visit has been a success for the UK companies as well as for Thales Alenia Space with a very good feedback from all participants. There will be a follow up with to ensure and to maximise the potential in the relationships between our UK supply chain and Thales Alenia Space, particularly in matching the capabilities of our members to the service requirements that Thales has throughout their current and future projects. |

The meeting was well attended and Didier was able to give an inside into the after market services of Airbus. |

Airbus Military - Visit - 9 + 10 May 2011One of the highlights during the month of May has been the successful visit by 9 of our Toulouse Bureau members to Aiurbus Military in Madrid and Sevilla. The main objective of the visit was to meet key members of Airbus Military as well as establishing contacts for the future. (Procurement team)

Airbus - Working Lunch - 17 March 2011The ADS Toulouse members were honoured to receive Tom Williams, Airbus EVP Programmes for an informal Working Lunch. We were honoured to receive Tom Williams for a Working Lunch around an informal discussion about a general update on Airbus Programmes and its future strategy. As usual this Lunch was very successfully attended and you will find the main points of Tom's message in the memo attached.

ADS TOULOUSE ANNUAL EVENT on 23rd September 2010ADS TOULOUSE celebrated its first annual event under the new logo. This was held at the magnificent “Chateau de Thégra” on the 23rd of September and was attended by key personalities from the local aerospace industry. The joint guest of honour Klaus Richter Airbus EVP Procurement addressed the guests and expressed his opinion for the future of the aircraft industry which is borne out by the recent high profile sales to Cathay pacific and Lufthansa. In addition Airbus has taken the decision to increase the single aisle and long range production rates to meet the increased requirements. Our members were delighted to have had the opportunity to network with the non ADS guests who numbered more than 100. This was a significant turn out despite the industrial problems of the day and proves once again the support for ADS. In conclusion the main theme of the evening was to support the children’s charity “Les Petits Princes” and this was achieved with generous donations from all concerned.

Infoday UK / France - Aerospace / Defence on 24th June 2010First Infoday organized in cooperation between Aerospace Valley and ADS Toulouse bureau with the support of the British Consulate in Bordeaux. In the morning there were presentations on both French and UK Civil Aerospace and Defence market sectors followed by SMEs B2B meetings between French and UK companies. |

Working Breakfast with Dassault Aviation on Tuesday 8th June 2010 Didier BONNEFOY- SVP Industrial Policy, Dassault Aviation Laurent HAISTE - VP Industrial Policy Directorate, Dassault Aviation The TB was delighted to welcome the Senior Dassault Aviation Management for an informal Working Breakfast at our ADS offices. There has been a very good attendance from the members and it's been a very interesting morning session.

SBAC - 10th Anniversary Event10th Anniversary Event - September 2009 This event held on 24th September at the prodigious "Orangerie de Rochemontes" near Toulouse was very well attended and honoured to host several VIP's including Tom Enders CEO Airbus, Ian Lucas MP Minister for Business and Sir Peter Westmacott HM Ambassador to France. Tom Enders congratulated ADS on its transition from SBAC as well as outlining the important role played by the Toulouse Bureau. The evening concluded with a magnificent firework display which was a fitting finale to an unforgettable event enjoyed by all present. |

A discussion was organised with all Senior Members of the Purchasing Department followed by a lunch and factory visit. Members were able to present their company activities on a one to one basis with the responsible manager. |
