21st Century Supply Chains (SC21) > Who's Involved?
Who's Involved?
The SC21 programme is about implementing what we already do but in a more efficient and coordinated way with industry colleagues and key stakeholders.
Supply chains do not respect regional boundaries and therefore we coordinate activities with regional trade associations (RTAs), the MAS, BIS etc which is crucial and fundamental for success of the programme across the UK
Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space industry primes
Since the launch of the programme at the Farnborough Airshow in 2006, SC21 has been endorsed by companies of all sizes from the prime movers to SMEs in the UK aerospace & defence industry, including the UK Ministry of Defence.
ADS Regional Partners
SC21 is actively engaged in supporting participating companies, especially SME's. We have teamed up with local delivery agencies including the Manufacturing Advisory Service and Business Link. They play a key role in co-ordinating and securing funding
Regulatory bodies
EASA, CAA regulatory bodies have been engaged and will have a role to play by advising how necessary safeguards and standards are maintained whilst reducing the cost burden and response time of product certification.
Industry working groups
To support the implementation of the programme, five industry led working groups have been established:
- Steering Group
- Primes Working Group
- Performance, Delivery and Quality SIG
- Collaborative Working SIG
These teams have been tasked with developing and agreeing the common processes to be used in the implementation of SC21.
Project office
In order to support this programme, the ADS have created an dedicated team to enable the development and implementation on the action plan.
