BAG hosts a large number of foreign airport visitors who are visiting the to learn about the expertise available in the . Past visitors have come from all corners of the globe and included Government Officials, Airport Authority/CAA representatives and local contractors/consultants looking for JV partners/subcontractors. Delegations are often visiting the as guests of the British Government (FCO) who approach BAG and ask us to organise a roundtable meeting/series of one to one meetings between the visitor and members.

Inward visits provide the opportunity for members to learn about the airport/aviation development projects proposed in the specific country and to introduce their product/services to the visiting delegation. Meetings provide companies with contacts and an overview of the opportunities in a specific market without the need to visit a country.

Events abroad

  • Overseas Missions/Seminar

Trade missions/seminars are organised groups of companies visiting a specific market with the support of the British Government who organise a programme of activities and meetings for the group. BAG acts as sponsor for a wide range of trade missions each year to target markets that provide a wide range of opportunities for exporters in the airport/aviation development sector either through ongoing airport/aviation development programmes or brand new projects.

During the visit a programme of seminars, meetings and networking events will be organised that allow participants to meet with and promote their products and services to a wide range of contracts from Government Departments, Airport Authorities/Operators, Airlines and local companies involved in the sector (consultants, contractors and potential agents).

The British Embassy involvement in the organisation of the event ensures participation from high level contacts that an individual company would not be able to secure meetings with if they visited the market alone. UK Trade & Investment also provide financial support in the form of travel grants to companies participating in the mission.
