The RMM Review Process

The closed-loop process illustrated below provides an example of how a relationship can be regularly assessed, improved and reviewed using the following steps:

  • The relationship to be assessed is defined and the scope agreed between the parties
  • The RMM questionnaire is completed by stakeholders in both organisations
  • All stakeholder inputs are consolidated by the facilitator producing a baseline from which a workshop can: understand any gaps in respective perception and agree the consensus position. Comments and supporting evidence are extracted from stakeholder inputs and used to stimulate debate during the workshop
  • Workshop is held to recognise current status (issues, opportunities & barriers) and agree where improvement is required
  • Relationship management plan (RMP) is agreed and reviewed quarterly
  • Further focussed improvement activity is planned and completed (as required)
  • Stakeholder measurement is repeated after 6 mths
  • RMP is updated and additional actions added as agreed
